Project Designer :- Cameron Mcilwham

CDRom Manufacture : - Alliance Multimedia

Project Brief

The client had a 200 page paper document that they wished to provide in an electronic form and then make into a CDRom. After an initial meeting Alliance Multimedia produced a template of an electronic document structure showing all the possible navigation containing over 60 links and bookmarks. Based on this structure we also provided a detailed cost of the work. The client was initially looking for flat screen introduction pages but after seeing examples of what can be achieved with flash animation we provided an additional fully costed brief for a more animated document. Using flash we gave life to the navigation points and consequently constructed a images that would be much more interesting to the reader. After final sign off a hybrid CDRom was created, checked, copied and verified. We duplicated the CDRoms on Grade A 80min Tiayo Yuden CDRs. The project was delivered on time and on budget.

Project Brief

Having previously produced the College's award winning electronic prospectus for 2003 we were asked to make a CDRom and DVD to promote the college. At an initial meeting we discussed the scope of the project and established the type of image the College wished to develop. A fully costed proposal was submitted to the College. Using video footage we created a storyboard for the CDRom and after sign off developed this further using flash animation and key images taken from the video footage. We then authored and encoded the DV tape to make a DVD. We produced the hybrid CDRom on replicated 8cm disks and provided the DVD on Taiyo Yuden 4.75gb media. The project was delivered on time and on budget.

Showreel 3 Celtic Football Club - End of season DVD and Video

Film editing and Audio dubbing : - Celtic TV and SMG

DVD Authoring and Encoding : - Darren Robertson

DVD Manufacture :- Alliance Multimedia

Project Brief

The key challenge in this project was delivery of the product in very tight timescales. Earlier this year we had managed to get " the beating of Barca" DVD to Celtic Football Club within 36 hours of final sign off. The end of season project was much more complex. The brief was to produce and manufacture two DVD's to a specific deadline. The challenge was that the final content would not be available until after the Cup Final and Henrik Larsons game against Seville . Celtic TV had to edit and prepare over 110 hours of footage before we could start authoring and encoding the DVD. Alliance Multimedia provided a detailed project plan and all work relating to menu structure and non-film content was agreed, created and signed off in advance. Once the final film content was approved it was dropped into the previously created menus and encoded. There was 250 minutes of encoding and over 150 navigation points and these had to be checked before final sign off of the DLT. After that, the glass masters were created and first off check disks produced from the DVD stampers. Once the check disks were signed off full production of the disks could begin. The product contained two DVD 5's " In a league of their own " and "Henriks farewell Fiesta " inserted in a black amary case with a five colour insert and over-wrapped.

Project Brief

The idea was to create a film of the processes and procedures involved in copying CDRom and DVD's to give potential clients an idea of what services Alliance Multimedia can provide. We planned a storyboard based on the main areas of the companies expertise and then highlighted the processes and activities that would create the best film images. We edited the film and added audio to create a promotional film loop for use at the 2004 " Business Scotland " exhibition at the SECC. This was then encoded for CDRom and together with some flash animation used to create the CDRom that you are playing now. The cost of providing your company with this type of promotional tool is a lot less than you may imagine.
