Alliance Multimedia Join Cameron Presentations
Alliance Multimedia is pleased to announce that we have
joined the Cameron Presentations group of companies. Cameron
Presentations, also based in Glasgow, have a strong reputation
in the DVD authoring and duplication sector and we see the
integration of Alliance Multimedia as a perfect fit into their
developing digital video services portfolio.
Alliance Multimedia MD, Iain Somerside, commented "I
have really enjoyed my involvement with Alliance but feel
that now is the right time to move on and concentrate on my
other business interests.
I would like to thank all of our clients and suppliers
for their support over the years and wish everyone all the
best in the future with Cameron Presentations".
Cameron Presentations Managing Director Chris Cameron
added "We see Alliance Multimedia as a logical next
step in our growing DVD production services. There are considerable
economies of scale on DVD authoring, duplication and replication
that will benefit both our client bases as we move into the
future.
We can also add value by offering our range of digital
video and new High Definition services to the existing Alliance
client base as well as introducing some of our key event hire
and equipment rental solutions.
We look forward to integrating Helene and the rest
of the team into our existing operations and feel that together
we now offer a more complete future package than we could
as two separate companies."
Alliance Multimedia will remain in Hillington for the time
being with all phone and email contact details remaining in
place but are moving to join the main Cameron Presentations
operation in Giffnock in the foreseeable future.
Please call us on 0141 810 4664 for any further information.

Glasgow City Council - Social Work
Conference
Alliance Multimedia
have just completed another film project - This time for Glasgow
City Council. "We were approached by the Social Work
Department to make a short film about service users and what
they liked and thought could be improved by the department".
said Iain Somerside. "We filmed over several days at
different locations and were involved in individual as well
as group interviews".
It was a fascinating insight into
the breadth of services offered by the City Council. The film
was shown at the recent Social Work Conference and there are
plans to extend the project into a training film for the Social
Work Department.

Alliance Multimedia a hit with G8
Alliance Multimedia
was one of the companies to benefit from the G8 visit to Gleneagles
Scotland. The company created over 4000 promotional DVD's
for visiting media as part of a promotion of Scotland abroad.
"This job had to be turned around in 4 days" said
Iain Somerside. "We are the only company in Scotland
with the capacity to do this and this enabled us to deliver
the product to Perthshire on time and on budget.
January 2005 - Reduced DVD and CD
Duplication prices
It's a happy new year at Alliance Multimedia where we
have lowered our pricing on both CD and DVD duplication. Better
buying of media and parts combined with more efficient use
of technology allows us to offer much more competitive pricing
to customers. For more information ask us for a quote or price
list.

Price Pressure
The increased cost of oil is filtering through to the CD and
DVD replication market. A number of replicators have started
to increase the price of disks and plastic product because
of increased transport costs. We are pleased to say that this
has not affected the prices that we can offer customers.

Alliance Multimedia and Celtic Football Club " In a league of their own "
Alliance Multimedia have just completed the production of Celtic Football Clubs end of season DVD. " As with all these types of projects time was critical " said Iain Somerside the project manager. Earlier this year we after the Barcelona game we managed to provide Celtic with DVD's from production to shop within 24 hours of final approval. But the end of season project much more complex involving more design and menu structure as well as 250 minutes of encoding. " A detailed project plan and critical path helped keep the project on track " said Somerside. "But the key factors were the brilliant effort by Celtic TV to edit over 6000 minutes of footage and Alliance Multi-media's production team keeping the project ahead of schedule." The main DVD " in a league of their own " contains highlights of all the seasons goals and statistic and there is also a bonus disk " Henriks farewell fiesta " The DVD is available in all major shops and on line through Celtic at www.celticfc.net
May 2004
Increased DVD Capacity and lower prices.
Due to increasing demand Alliance multimedia
has increased its DVD capacity and can now duplicate up to
2000 full image DVD's per day. In addition the company have
recently lowered the pricing on DVD duplication to reflect
the drop in price of the raw media. " There has been an overcapacity
of DVD media in the world market during the first quarter
of 2004 " said Iain Somerside. " This has created a downward
pressure on prices. However, early indications are that there
may be supply problems for good quality disks the final quarter
of the year " he added.
